The wonder of poetry is that, as a genre, it can accomplish so much. Poetry stretches the limits of language, creates space for processing collective experiences, captures the essence of a culture, and helps people feel seen and understood. When a writer commits to studying and creating poems, they are joining an age-old tradition that embraces a multitude of voices.
